Question:
How do you handle writer’s block?
Answer:
With due respect to those who have writer's block, I say there's never been a time I've had that.
I have been stymied on an aspect of a project.
My solution is to write down whatever comes to mind about that issue/topic/plot point, then edit my way into something that at least seems plausible. I then play with that and try reaching a concert to that way. With nonfiction when I get stopped on something, the best solution usually involves doing more reading on the issue I'm stuck on.
Question:
What led you to become an Author and if you didn’t write what would you do for a living?
Answer:
In my case, I turned to writing later in life after having several other careers. There was nothing wrong with those. I got tired of doing them. If l wasn't writing I'd do one of them -- practice of law, journalism, or politics.
